VP Aviation is hiring experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanics to support aircraft production operations in the Dallas, Texas area.
This role supports aircraft production work inside a structured manufacturing environment. Mechanics should have experience working on OEM aircraft production lines or Tier-1 aerostructure suppliers supporting commercial or defense aircraft builds.

Structures mechanics with production experience at facilities such as Stuart, Florida; Charleston, South Carolina; Everett, Washington; and similar OEM or Tier-1 aircraft manufacturing locations are typically a strong fit for this project.
→ THE PROJECT
This assignment is expected to run 6–8 weeks initially, with the goal of extending into a long-term assignment if project performance and production needs align.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of aircraft structures experience, with 10+ years preferred, supporting aircraft manufacturing or production assembly programs.
Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Structures Mechanics will support production assembly and structural installation on commercial or defense aircraft programs.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform aircraft structural assembly on production aircraft builds
• Execute precision drilling, reaming, and fastener installation in accordance with engineering specifications
• Install structural components including ribs, spars, stringers, brackets, and subassemblies
• Use drill motors, countersinks, fixtures, and other specialized aircraft assembly tools
• Perform close-tolerance hole preparation and fastener installation
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Perform shimming and structural alignment per assembly specifications
• Maintain strict adherence to production quality standards and documentation requirements
• Work collaboratively with quality inspectors, manufacturing engineers, and production leadership
This role requires mechanics who are comfortable working within high-volume aircraft production environments where precision and teamwork are essential.
Required Experience
• Minimum 5 years aircraft structures experience
• 10+ years preferred
• Experience supporting OEM aircraft manufacturing or Tier-1 aerostructure suppliers
• Strong experience with precision drilling, reaming, countersinking, and fastener installation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and production work instructions
