VP Aviation is hiring an Avionics Technician to support an F-16 aircraft program in Greenville, South Carolina. This position focuses on final assembly and checkout work, including electrical installs, system testing, and wiring tasks within a structured production environment.
For technicians with strong electrical or modification experience, this opportunity offers steady work on a well-defined aircraft program. In addition, it provides hands-on involvement with avionics systems, harness installs, and aircraft-level testing.

Avionics Technician Position Overview
As part of the production team, the Avionics Technician performs electrical installations, routing, termination, and system testing on F-16 aircraft. In this role, you will work directly with wiring harnesses and aircraft components during final assembly and checkout.
At times, troubleshooting and repair of avionics systems will be required based on the assigned area. Additionally, technicians may support general mechanical installs, inspections, and testing as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Install electrical harnesses, wiring, and avionics components on F-16 aircraft
- Route and secure wiring and cable assemblies
- Perform wire termination and soldering operations
- Conduct continuity checks and system testing
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems when required
- Support inspections, testing, and general installation work
Required Experience
- Experience with aircraft electrical systems, wiring, or avionics installs
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals and wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience with harness routing, termination, or modification work
Preferred Experience
- Avionics or harness modification experience
- Fighter aircraft experience
Shift Schedule
Training will be conducted on 1st shift. After training, however, technicians must be able to work any assigned shift based on program needs:
- 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
- Weekend Shift: Thursday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Additional Details
Security clearance is not required to start. However, active clearance is considered a plus for this program.
