Avionics Technician Jobs in Lake City FL – Position Overview
As an Avionics Technician, you will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of aircraft avionics systems in accordance with approved data and customer requirements. Work is performed with accuracy, attention to detail, and minimal supervision.
Avionics Technician Responsibilities

Repair, modify, install, and perform routine maintenance on aircraft avionics systems

Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, and engineering orders

Troubleshoot and repair complex avionics systems using deductive reasoning

Properly utilize avionics test equipment to perform system testing

Stay current with new and advanced avionics test equipment

Use and maintain avionics hand tools for repairs and installations

Communicate work progress and issues with leadership and coworkers

Accurately document work performed in accordance with company and customer maintenance programs on a daily basis

Fabricate wire bundles and assemblies per drawings and standard practices, including marking, securing, and terminating wires into connectors and contacts
-
Perform other assigned duties as required
Avionics Technician Requirements

Working knowledge of aircraft avionics systems and their operation

Proven ability to troubleshoot basic avionics issues
-
Broad knowledge of other aircraft systems, including hydraulics and flight controls
-
Ability to perform basic to intermediate math functions, including measurements, ratios, and percentages
-
Demonstrated ability to research and apply standard wiring practices
-
Recent hands-on commercial or military heavy aircraft avionics experience
- Reliable transportation required
