Aircraft Mechanic – Greenville, SC
VP Aviation is hiring Aircraft Mechanics (APG) to support military aircraft maintenance, modification, and sustainment programs in Greenville, South Carolina.
This is a contract opportunity for aircraft mechanics looking to support flightline maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, operational checkouts, and general aircraft maintenance activities on military aircraft programs.
Pay ranges from $1,360 to $1,520 per week at 40 hours, not including overtime. For exact pay rates based on your experience and assignment, please apply and a VP Aviation recruiter will contact you directly.
Assignments may include fighter aircraft such as the F-16, military transport aircraft such as the C-130, and other military aircraft platforms depending on current program needs. Previous experience on F-16, C-130, or similar military aircraft is preferred, but not required for all assignments.

Aircraft Mechanic Job Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Mechanic, you may support:
- Launch and recovery operations
- Pre-flight inspections
- Thru-flight inspections
- Post-flight inspections
- Operational checkouts and functional testing
- General troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of aircraft systems
- Routine servicing and preventive maintenance
- Engine runs and system checks
- Aircraft movement and ground handling operations
- Fueling and defueling operations as required
- Removal and installation of panels, components, and hardware for maintenance access
- Maintenance documentation and safety compliance

Aircraft Mechanic Requirements
To be considered for this Aircraft Mechanic job in Greenville, SC, preferred qualifications include:
- 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Flightline, sustainment, depot, production, or modification experience preferred
- Experience performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and operational checkouts
- Knowledge of aircraft systems including landing gear, flight controls, hydraulics, powerplants, and fuel systems
- Previous experience on F-16, C-130, or similar military aircraft preferred
- Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, technical data, and engineering documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to pass background check and onboarding requirements
