AOG Aircraft Mechanic Job – Mobile Response Teams
VP Aviation is hiring AOG Aircraft Mechanics to join our Mobile Response Teams (MRT) supporting aircraft maintenance events across the United States.
This role is designed for highly experienced A&P Mechanics who have spent years in the field and are ready to support real-world AOG situations. Our Mobile Response Teams are built with mechanics who can travel, adapt quickly, and represent VP Aviation on-site with confidence and professionalism.
Because of this, these positions are not entry level. Instead, MRT assignments are earned through experience, reliability, and proven performance in aircraft maintenance environments.
About VP Aviation
VP Aviation provides aircraft maintenance support to MROs, Airlines, and Repair Stations nationwide. Our teams support AOG events, project work, and long-term maintenance needs across the country.
In addition, our Mobile Response Teams are a core part of our operation. These teams deploy when aircraft are down, timelines matter, and experienced mechanics step in to complete the work correctly and efficiently.
Mobile Response Teams (MRT)
VP Aviation’s Mobile Response Teams are made up of experienced A&P Mechanics who support time-critical aircraft maintenance events nationwide. Mechanics earn MRT assignments through experience, reliability, and proven performance in aircraft maintenance environments.
For this reason, the role requires a high level of responsibility and experience.
AOG Aircraft Mechanic – Mobile Response Team Responsibilities

Provide on-site AOG support as part of a Mobile Response Team

Perform troubleshooting and complete maintenance tasks using approved data

Work independently or alongside customer maintenance teams

Support unscheduled maintenance events and time-critical repairs

Communicate clearly with maintenance control and leadership

Complete all required documentation accurately and on time

Travel as required to support aircraft maintenance events nationwide

Maintain compliance with all safety and quality standards

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements below:
AOG Aircraft Mechanic Requirements

Valid A&P license

10 or more years of aircraft maintenance experience

Proven ability to support AOG or line maintenance operations

Comfortable working independently in high-responsibility environments

Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills

Willingness and ability to travel for Mobile Response Team assignments

Strong communication and documentation skills

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
