A&P Mechanic Jobs in Greensboro NC – Position Overview
As an A&P Mechanic, you will perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on large commercial aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures. Work is performed in a team environment with a strong focus on safety, documentation, and quality.
This is a contract position supporting heavy maintenance operations.
A&P Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform heavy maintenance checks and C-check work on commercial aircraft
- Complete maintenance, repair, and modification tasks in accordance with approved data
- Read and interpret company and manufacturer maintenance manuals
- Perform line maintenance functions independently when required
- Follow all safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
A&P Mechanic Requirements
- Minimum of three years of commercial aircraft maintenance experience
- A&P License required
- Experience with large commercial aircraft modification programs
- Experience supporting heavy maintenance and C-check environments
- Ability to read and understand company and manufacturer manuals
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to pass background check and obtain required badging
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work stands unassisted
- Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces
- Must have own tools and reliable transportation
