VP Aviation is hiring experienced Structures Mechanics for long-term aircraft modification work in Georgetown, Delaware. This contract opportunity supports Boeing Business Jet projects, including auxiliary fuel system installations and structural modifications.

This is a long-term opportunity with start dates available on upcoming Mondays based on project scheduling. Candidates must be open to working any shift, as shift assignments may change based on customer needs. Overtime may be available depending on workload.
Structures Mechanic Job Responsibilities
As a Structures Mechanic in Georgetown, DE, you will support Boeing Business Jet modification work and structural repair tasks. Responsibilities may include:
- Perform aircraft structural and sheet metal modifications, heavy repair, and maintenance with minimal supervision
- Support auxiliary fuel system installations and related modification work on Boeing Business Jets
- Complete removals with proper tagging, weight logs, hardware bagging, and part protection
- Read and interpret aircraft manuals, service bulletins, engineering drawings, and repair instructions
- Understand aircraft stringer and frame station layouts
- Complete work in accordance with manufacturer specifications and approved procedures
- Document maintenance actions in compliance with repair station and quality standards
- Submit all required paperwork and production updates on time
- Assist with aircraft ground handling tasks including lifting, shoring, towing, and servicing
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Report tooling issues, drawing discrepancies, and material shortages
- Support team training and project workflow as needed
Structures Mechanic Job Requirements
To qualify for this Structures Mechanic job in Georgetown, DE, candidates should have:
- Recent aircraft structures or sheet metal experience
- Experience with aircraft modifications, heavy repair, or maintenance
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and aircraft manuals
- Experience documenting work accurately in an FAA-regulated environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety standards
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Must have your own tools
- Must be open to working any shift
Boeing Business Jet Modification Work
This Georgetown Structures Mechanic job supports Boeing Business Jet projects, with a focus on VIP and VVIP aircraft modifications. Experience with Boeing 737-700, 737-800, or 737-900 aircraft is highly preferred. Boeing Business Jet experience is a plus.
