AOG Structures Mechanic Job – Mobile Response Teams
VP Aviation is hiring AOG Structures Mechanics to join our Mobile Response Teams (MRT) supporting aircraft maintenance events across the United States.
This role targets experienced Structures Mechanics who have spent years performing structural repairs in active maintenance environments. As a result, the position demands strong technical ability and sound judgement.
This is not an entry-level role. Mechanics earn MRT positions through experience, reliability, and proven performance in aircraft structures maintenance.

VP Aviation provides aircraft maintenance support to MROs, Airlines, and Repair Stations nationwide. Our Mobile Response Teams support AOG events, project work, and long-term maintenance needs across the country.
Mobile Response Teams (MRT)
VP Aviation’s Mobile Response Teams consist of highly experienced aircraft maintenance professionals who support critical aircraft maintenance events nationwide.
Our teams respond when aircraft go down, timelines tighten, and experienced mechanics must step in to complete the work safely and correctly. As a result, MRT positions are reserved for mechanics who consistently demonstrate strong technical skills, reliability, and professionalism under pressure.
AOG Structures Mechanic – Mobile Response Team Responsibilities

Perform on-site aircraft structures maintenance as part of a Mobile Response Team

Complete structural repairs using approved data and repair manuals

Perform sheet metal and structural repairs on a variety of aircraft

Support unscheduled maintenance and AOG events

Work independently or alongside customer maintenance teams

Communicate clearly with maintenance control and leadership

Complete all required documentation accurately and on time

Travel as needed to support aircraft maintenance events nationwide

Follow all safety and quality standards

Perform additional duties as assigned
AOG Structures Mechanic Requirements

10 or more years of aircraft structures experience (repair, not assembly)

A&P license preferred but not required

Strong knowledge of aircraft structural repair techniques

Experience reading SRMs, drawings, and engineering data

Ability to work independently in high-responsibility environments

Willingness to travel for Mobile Response Team assignments

Strong communication and documentation skills

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
