A&P Mechanic Job in Opa-locka FL
VP Aviation is hiring experienced A&P Mechanics for a 6–8 week aircraft maintenance project supporting business jet operations at KOPF in Opa-locka, Florida. This A&P opportunity offers weekly pay ranging from $1,200–$1,800 at 40 hours, not including overtime.
Previous corporate aircraft experience is required.
A&P Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer maintenance manuals
- Complete all assigned maintenance tasks within the approved work scope
- Document maintenance discrepancies and corrective actions accurately
- Communicate parts, material, workmanship, or airworthiness concerns to the Lead Mechanic
- Provide detailed shift turnover reports including work progression and open items
- Properly tag and store aircraft components, parts, and panels
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Supply and maintain required hand tools
- Perform additional duties as assigned by maintenance leadership
A&P Mechanic Requirements
- Valid and current Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations, including guidance from the
Federal Aviation Administration - Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical data
- Effective written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to work independently and within a maintenance team
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability for domestic and international travel as required
