VP Aviation took a moment during its Christmas Celebration to pay tribute to its late founder, Tom Ventresco, and to usher in a new tradition – the Tom Ventresco Leadership Award. The first recipient, Roger Lores, was recognized for his exemplary leadership, dedication, and work ethic.
Tom Ventresco’s influence on VP Aviation was profound, and the newly established award seeks to honor his memory by acknowledging individuals who embody the values he held dear. The decision to present the award annually was announced by Benji Farr, VP of Technical Operations.
“We want to carry on Tommy’s legacy by having the 1st annual Tom Ventresco Leadership Award, which will be given to someone who shows leadership, dedication, and great work ethic,” stated Benji Farr. “Our first annual Tom Ventresco Leadership Award goes to Roger Lores.”
The inaugural award was presented to Roger Lores, chosen by his peers through a majority vote. Benji Farr, VP of Technical Operations, and Mike Chally, VP Aviation President, presented the award. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of continuing Tom Ventresco’s legacy by recognizing those who contribute to the company’s success. Colleagues lauded Roger for his collaborative approach, strong work ethic, and customer-focused attitude. “Roger is easy to work with and a very hard worker. He never complains and is always willing to answer questions,” shared one team member. Another commented, “He taught me a lot of patience and is always good with the customer.
As VP Aviation moves forward, the Tom Ventresco Leadership Award stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to honoring its roots while looking ahead to a bright future.
