We are celebrating Women in Aviation week (March 6-11, 2023) and we thought we would have some fun with the NEWEST member of our team who is also NEW to the aviation industry, Ana Boone! Ana is an experienced Recruiting professional who we snagged to join our aviation team! Ana shared with us her thoughts on the industry as a whole and also why she chose to join VP Aviation.
Why VP Aviation?
I am very intrigued and want to learn more about the aviation industry. I learn something new every day and really enjoy finding that right fit for our mechanics who are looking to expand on their career. I am absorbing as much information from our executives and Technicians as much as possible.
What is the most surprising thing you have learned about this job/industry?
How much skill and hard work is involved in keeping planes safely in the air.
What do you hope to achieve in your role as Aviation Recruiting Specialist?
I want to continue building positive relationships with Aviation Technicians and be their “go to” person whenever they are looking for a new role. It is so rewarding to help someone find a job that they like and can make a good living.
What is something you learned about airplanes that you didn’t know before?
Speed Tape is sometimes used to give a temporary repair to superficial, small damage. 😊
